Manual Machining 280120Manual Mill Setup 221Lessons on block squaring were combined to create space for other important concepts like step-over and digital readout controls. Manual mill machine components and the Cartesian coordinate system lessons were removed because these concepts are covered in the Manual Mill Basics 201 course. Additionally, lessons on adjusting speed and adjusting feed rate were added because it is important to successful and efficient milling. Lesson text was clarified and condensed, and multimedia was updated to better represent key concepts.30-Sep
Welding640215Advanced GMAW Applications 302Objectives were updated for clarity, and some duplicate objectives we removed or combined to create a slightly shorter, more efficient class. No topics/objectives were removed from the actual class content. Some topics were moved/re-organized for better class flow and instructional design. Class text was to reflect current style standards, grammatical reasons and feedback from Lincoln Electric subject matter experts. All media was replaced and updated, including newer photos, new illustrations, and new animations. Test questions were revised to better represent class content.30-Sep
Motor Controls920100Relays, Contactors, and Motor Starters 201We revised and reordered many of the objectives concerning relays and contactors in order to improve structure and clarity. In the process, we combined several objectives regarding overload relays, contact arcing, and contactor types. This created room for new objectives on types of switches, relay applications, and inrush current. New content was added to existing objectives in order to better cover solid-state relays, thermal relays, reduced voltage starters, and NEMA/IEC ratings for motor controls. All lessons were edited to reduce wordcount and improve clarity. Finally, we replaced or improved all illustrations and stock photos, and created four new animations on electromechanical relays, overload relays, arc suppression, and inrush current.30-Sep
Industrial Internet of Things720200Introduction to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence 301Based on subject matter expert (SME) feedback, a new lesson on data preprocessing has been added. It highlights the importance of cleaning and standardizing raw data to build more accurate and effective machine learning models. It replaced a lesson on AI and machine learning applications.  Additional updates include expanded discussions on common challenges such as model drift, overfitting, and underfitting, along with evaluation techniques like F1 scoring and principal component analysis (PCA) to help reduce bias in model results. To enhance clarity, many illustrations have been updated and four new animations were added to better explain complex concepts.30-Sep
